Unfortunately, no dogs, including assistance/guide dogs are allowed in the zoo and we are unable to provide kennel facilities.
Yes, the zoo is wheelchair accessible. The site is flat with no steep inclines.
We offer 1 carer free admission ticket per person that requires a carer. Proof of care must be provided upon entry to receive a free carer ticket, please click here to see the proof of care accepted. If you require more than 1 carer the additional carers are required to pay the normal admission price.
Only the paid encounter participants can enter the enclosure, carer’s do not automatically receive free admission into an encounter. It is very important that if the participant requires a carer you must contact Wild Discovery on 01772 673836 or info@wilddiscovery.co.uk to discuss, for us to advise and to ensure that we can provide a safe and enjoyable encounter before you make a booking.
You can pre book your zoo admission online, or pay for it as your arrive. there is no price difference, however please note that once a booking has been made online they are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend pre booking an animal encounter, due to availability and popularity. This will avoid disappointment on the day of your visit. Please note that once a booking has been made it can not be transferred to another date and they are non refundable.

We are not able to sell feed to give freely to the animals, as all our animals are on a specific diets to ensure they are receiving the best diet possible. We do offer controlled feeding experiences, please see our website here for more details click here and you can also purchase tickets upon entry to feed our Rainbow Lorikeets.
Yes of course, you can even use some of the facilities at Ribby Hall as a day visitor to the site, please click this link to find out more here.
Your admission is a day pass, so you can come and go from the zoo all day if you wish, this allows you to visit eateries on site at Ribby Hall Village, the children’s play park, or take a walk around the ancient woodland. Please visit here to see all Ribby Hall Village facilities available for day visitors. We also offer a variety of animal talks throughout the day that are included in your admission price.
Wild Discovery is strictly a no smoking zone, including e-cigarettes. To smoke please leave the zoo and head towards the designated smoking area, a member of staff in the Gift Shop can direct you. You can re-enter the zoo when you show your receipt.
