Conservation Warriors is perfect for children with a passion for animals and a thirst for knowledge about the animal kingdom.

Explore your wild side with the animals at Wild Discovery and out Education Team!

Enjoy a fun-filled day of games, conservation challenges, hairy encounters and more! Get hands on with our keeper team, brush up on your animal knowledge and become a conservation expert.

Don’t forget to bring your own packed lunch and drinks. Dress ready for a messy day! Sturdy shoes and prepare for all weathers.

Animal Trainer Internship

Wild Discovery is proud to offer an exciting new opportunity for future animal trainers. This role is aimed at candidates looking to gain experience for the role of an animal trainer for husbandry, welfare and displays. A unique internship based around training theory, logical and practical projects working alongside our experienced animal trainer.

This 12-month role, working full-time, alongside our training team with a  range of animals including birds of prey, parrots, and small mammals.

Essential requirements:

  • Aged 18 and over.
  • Currently working towards or hold an animal related qualification.
  • A keen interest in animal training.
  • Keeper tasks can be physically demanding; thus, candidate must be physically fit and prepared to work in all outdoor conditions.

All positions are voluntary. Unfortunately, Wild Discovery cannot provide any financial support to applying candidates however a full uniform is provided.

Interns operate on a rota basis, working 4 or 5 days out of 7. Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and bank holidays.
