Birds of the World
Enjoy a unique, interactive and close up experience learning about and meeting a selection of our beautiful Birds of the World with our Animal Training Team.
Birds that participate in the encounter include: Black Faced Ibis and Demoiselle Crane.

What you need to know before you book
Pre booking online is recommended to avoid disappointment on the day. Once a booking is made it is non-refundable and non-transferrable, therefore please check your date before completing a booking.
You will be required to wear disposable gloves under the bird glove which will be provided for each encounter.
Please make sure you wear casual outdoor clothes, as these encounters take place outside. If the weather is not suitable for the encounter we will move the encounter to an area under cover.
Please make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of your encounter.
Zoo admission is NOT included in the encounter price. Admission must be booked and paid for separately, click here to book your zoo admission tickets.
Anyone completing the encounter that is under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a responsible adult who will need to pay zoo admission. The responsible adult will not be permitted to enter the encounter area or participate in the encounter. the responsible adult will spectate from the public viewing area.
The encounter is only for people of the minimum age or above. If a person is booked for an encounter that is not above the minimum age they will not be allowed to complete the encounter and no refund will be given.
Depending on the birds you meet you could be feeding them meat/fish items.
If you require a carer and/or have any allergies, phobias, visual/hearing/mobility impairments, and/or any physical or medical conditions (including autoimmune diseases) you must contact us before booking to make sure that we can provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience. If you arrive for an encounter without declaring any of the above and we can not provide you with a safe and enjoyable encounter no refund will be issued. Upon arrival you will be asked to complete a Health & Safety Declaration form before your encounter. The encounters are not suitable for pregnant persons.
