white-bellied reed frog Fast Facts
Overview
These small frogs are endemic to Madagascar, which means they are found nowhere else in the world. They are often called the Starry Night Reed Frog because of the mottled patterning they sometimes have on their skin. They prefer to live in subtropical or tropical moist forest, scrublands or grasslands, being most active during the night when the temperature is cooler and they will hunt for prey. During the day they will hide under leaves.
