Overview

The Grey Slender Loris is a species of Primate native to India and Sri Lanka. They are found in subtropical and tropical forests, using their long slender limbs to gracefully move around the branches. They are a nocturnal species, which means they are most active at night. During the day they will sleep in cavities with other loris before heading out to forage for insects alone. They are well adapted for a nocturnal lifestyle with huge eyes that face forward providing them with stereoscopic vision allowing them to gauge the distance of prey with accuracy. They communicate through a range of vocalisations and scent marking using their urine.
